An American actor and cast member of the award-winning sitcom
Friends , Matt LeBlanc was born on July 25, 1967. He has mixed English, Dutch, and Irish ancestry on his father’s side, and Italian from his mother’s, though he’s often cast as an Italian character. As a young child he dreamed of being a motorcycle racer, entering junior competitions for a short period. Matt le Blanc graduated from Newton North High School in 1985, though he dropped out from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. He’s also worked on several movies such as Lost in Space and Charlie’s Angels.
Joey Tribbiani is a character from the TV comedy series
Friends and its spin-off Joey, played by Matt LeBlanc. Coming from an Italian-American family of eight children where he was the only boy, he starts out as a parody of a ‘typical’ actor: constantly looking for work and having too much sex. He mentions at one point that Al Pacino is his idol. Joey also worked for a time as a model, though it turned out the poster he modeled for was about STDs. He’s fairly dim-witted, though he’s successful with women and also has a great love for food. While Friends introduces Joey and his odd group of friends living in Manhattan, his spin-off namesake series follows his continuing antics, as he moves to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.
