Jericho: Goetz and his men shot Mimi and killed Bonnie over some white-collar embezzlement. Elsewhere, Robert Hawkins slowly but surely continued to convince Major Beck the Cheyenne government is full of liars and criminals.
They reshow the carnage after Ravenwood's assault on the Richmond farm, and damnit, Stanley (
Brad Beyer) is breaking my heart. They discern it was Ravenwood, and Jake (
Skeet Ulrich) orders protection for Mimi (
Alicia Coppola). Major Beck is called away to New Bern, where someone set off a pipe bomb at the J&R office. Beck orders no retribution against Goetz.
Dr. Kenchy is doing his best to save Mimi. Jake gives everyone guns to set up a protective border around the hospital. Kenchy hires Darcy as a nurse, and he's quite optimistic about her chances. Eric (Kenneth Michell) follows Stanley down to the morgue to see Bonnie, where Eric tells Stanley it's not his fault, referencing April. Remember that subplot to nowhere? Stanley doesn't blame himself. He asks for a moment alone and cries the tears of a big strong man. He signs his goodbyes, which is a bit silly, but so damn sweet that it's killing me. Best scene of this show, ever. Mimi wakes up and asks about Stanley and Bonnie. Darcy tells her Stanley is downstairs, then Mimi learns Bonnie is dead. Damnit, now Mimi is breaking my heart.
Meanwhile, Goetz has Mimi's ledger and burns the page that reveals his embezzlement. An underling tells Goetz Mimi is at the hospital, and he's not too happy. He goes over the hospital and asks to come in to question Mimi, as she was a witness and possible accomplice in the deaths of three of his men. Jake's answer is to put a gun in his face. We have a problem. Goetz cuts the power. He could be the most evil man on TV. The hospital gets a phone call from Goetz, who has rounded up the families of the men inside, blackmailing them to leave their posts guarding the hospital. Evil!
Elsewhere, John Smith, Robert Hawkins' contact, reveals that President Tomarchio used to be a J&R employee, and that the Cheyenne government and J&R are one and the same. Then, in a bad move on Ravenwood's part, they also try to round up Robert Hawkins (
Lennie James). It doesn't go the way they'd like, and Robert takes one down and pulls a gun on the other. He uses the guy as a decoy to get himself into the hospital, with Ravenwood men as hostages.
Hawkins and Jake team up, and learn from Mimi about the embezzlement. The ledger is gone, but Hawkins has an idea on how to get the information that exposes Goetz' embezzlement, so he calls up John Smith. They need an inside person, so Mimi calls Trish to gather the information and send it to the J&R headquarters. Mimi calls her and tells Trish Goetz and his men killed Bonnie for the ledger. Trish gets the files and e-mails them to the contact John Smith has. Stanley arrives and tells Mimi she did nothing wrong. He could be the best man ever.
Bad for the people inside, Fred, the Jericho mole who ratted out Dale, is in the hospital, getting text messages from Goetz. He play-acts that he was injured when a Ravenwood guy snuck in, but Hawkins is too smart for that, realizing they must have an inside man. Emily (
Ashley Scott) voices her suspicions of Fred. Jake and Hawkins have a firefight inside, then tell Fred the backdoor is being cleared, which he relays to Goetz. Meanwhile, awesome cops Bill and Jimmy are chopping an alternate escape route through a wall.
Goetz and his men find nothing but a hole in the wall. The hostage overheard them saying they were taking her back to her farm, so they prepare to attack the Richmond farm. Fred flipped however, and in reality, Jake and the gang are still in the hospital, but they overheard Ravenwood was getting reinforcements.
In non-hospital stand-off related events, Heather's old New Bern pal Russell shows up to tell her there's a bounty on her head. He tells her all about how her helping Beck has caused problems, and that Constantino is the leader who put the bounty on Heather (
Sprague Grayden). Russell says she'll be safe, but they want a trophy: Goetz. That's a bit too convenient for my liking, great as it may be. Russell has had enough of J&R and the Cheyenne government pushing them around, but Heather stands by her new man, Beck.
The next morning, Jake and his men see the meet, but it's not for reinforcements. Trish has got the good Ravenwood people to show up and fire Goetz and his men because of the embezzlement. Trish hopes he rots in hell, and the bad guys are out, just like that.
Well, maybe not, because Jake still calls for the attack on Goetz' men. Things go from bad to worse for Goetz when Russell and his men from New Bern also show up. Seeing he's surrounded, Goetz surrenders. Jake and Russell fight over ownership of Goetz. While those two bicker, Stanley walks up, holds a gun to Goetz head, quivers, and fires.
HOLY CRAP!!!
Stanley throws up, sickened by doing the right thing. Hawkins is worried about what to do, but then they string Goetz' body up in New Bern and Major Beck finds it.
