Lennie James as Robert Hawkins

Robert Hawkins of CBS' Jericho is played by Lennie James. A man with a mysterious past, Robert claims that he is a cop from St. Louis, Missouri, and that he took his wife, Darcy and kids, Allison and Samuel, to Jericho to live a quiet life. However, they were actually from Washington, D.C., and upon investigating his home and interrogating him, a fake FBI badge is found bearing his name on it.

Robert Hawkins is involved with a number of clandestine activities, as evidenced by his multiple fake IDs, including that for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, in which his name was Robert Richmond, an ID for the Columbus Police Department in which his name was Robert Ellis, and finally an ID for the Department of Homeland Security, which stated his name as Robert Wheeler.

Aside from his mysterious identities, Robert also owns a Panasonic Toughbook laptop computer (coincidentally unaffected by the electromagnetic pulses from the blasts) which he uses to communicate with unidentified individuals. His own wife had doubted him many times, asking him what he knew about the blasts, but he continued to deny that he had anything to do with it.

The Hawkins family had a lot of secrets to hold, as they kept a low profile and constantly rehearsed their story about how Robert was transferred from Memphis, Tennessee to St. Louis, Missouri after Darcy's mother died of multiple sclerosis. The family had their lies complete with the details of where the kids went to school, and what they enjoyed doing together.

Robert developed a friendly bond with Jake, as they both have mysterious pasts. Although it is not clear what his real intentions are, Robert has helped the town in a number of occasions, and has tried to make amends with his family by cultivating a more normal relationship with his wife and kids.
