Sprague Grayden as Heather Lisinski

Heather Lisinski is played by Sprague Grayden on CBS' Jericho. A teacher at Jericho Elementary School, Heather is a tomboy with a great sense of humor. Having a keen interest in science, she is a mechanic who knows how to make most machines work.

Just before the destructive events occurred, Heather was on a field trip with her class when the school bus got into an accident because of a deer that suddenly went wild due to the nuclear explosion in Denver, Colorado. The bus crash caused the driver's death, and Heather was left with a broken leg. Luckily, Jake Green, who was also in the road and had also encountered some trouble, was approached by two of her students, asking him for help. He immediately went to the bus and rescued one of the students who was hurt in the neck, and drove the bus back to Jericho.

In return for Jake's favor, Heather helped him in his attempt of repairing the dilapidated fallout shelter, where the townspeople were supposed to hide from the storm that carried deadly radioactive fallout. Apparently Heather was a talented mechanic, being able to manipulate various devices and strip wires.

Heather has also shown bravery in an incident that followed the burning down of the school building. She immediately attended to Emily, who was hurt in the incident and upon learning about another trapped child in the building, quickly rushed inside to save him. Getting caught in the fire, she was again saved by Jake, who restored the water pressure, eventually putting out the fire.

The series of events have led Jake and Heather to become close to each other, but no mutual feelings have yet been disclosed between the two. They did, however, share an unexpected, passionate kiss right before Jake was to leave town for a dangerous venture.
