Pamela Reed as Gail Green

Gail Green from CBS's Jericho is played by Pamela Reed. Gail is the wife of Jericho's mayor of 25 years, Johnston Green and the mother of Eric and Jake. Prior to her marriage to Johnston, she dated him even if he saw someone else. This immediately made Johnston's mother dislike her, thinking that she was a home wrecker. Gail and Johnston eventually ended up together, and their marriage lasted for 40 years.

Gail's son, Jake once left Jericho only to return to claim his inheritance from his deceased grandfather. Not known to Johnston, Gail knew all about what Jake has been doing while he was away from home. He had always been her favorite son, as she was disappointed in Eric after he left his wife, April and had an affair with Mary. April, on the other hand, was also guilty of having a relationship with her father-in-law, Johnston. Gail has always served as Jake and Johnston's middleman in situations when the two were not in good terms.

Aside from being Johnston's homemaker, Gail is his avid supporter, being a strong woman with great wisdom. She is the one who holds her family together and often serves as Jake's confidant. Aside from being a guiding light to her family, she also serves as an inspiration and leader to the town of Jericho, as she advised the community to help feed the refugees instead of driving them away.

Her strength was tested in one instance when Eric's wife, April reminded Gail that she was once a nurse as Gail was reluctant about having to perform mouth to mouth resuscitation on Victor Miller, a man dying of radiation poisoning. Gail was very uneasy going through this ordeal because she was afraid of his condition, which was caused by the storm carrying radioactive fallout that covered the town.
