Erik Knudsen as Dale Turner
Dale Turner is played by Erik Knudsen in CBS' post-apocalyptic drama,
Jericho. Dale and his mother lived in a trailer park, and both worked at Gracie's Market in the town of Jericho, Kansas. However, when a nuclear explosion destroys Atlanta, Georgia, Dale's mother, who was with an identified man at the time, gets killed in the incident. Their final moments were caught on the answering machine message, and Dale, who was in complete shock, repeats the message over and over.
As a boy from a trailer park, the rich girl from a mansion outside town, Skylar Stevens saw Dale as a big loser and freak. She later assumed that her parents, who were in New York at the time, were also killed. Dale was tasked to deliver supplies to her home in preparation for the storm that was supposed to bring in radioactive fallout and Skylar changed her mind about him. However, as Skylar's friends come back, she flips over and becomes the spoiled brat all over again.
Later, she was drawn to him as they both have one thing in common--their parents died in the explosions. She was concerned about him losing his home, and thus offered to let him sleep on her couch. This was in return for Dale's favor of delivering her mother's jewelry box, which suggested that her parents might still be alive.
Dale later became involved with a group of survivalists headed by Mitch Cafferty, Jake Green's former friend. Prior to joining the group, he discovered a trainload of supplies, and thus asked them to help him unload the supplies. Jake then confronted Dale about the theft of the Green's horses, and Dale in turn reconsidered his alliance with the survivalists. He told Jake about the train he discovered and after heading to the farm, they discovered that the supplies were missing. After a confrontation with the leader of the survivalists, Eric was able to arrest Mitch, and was able to retrieve the missing supplies.
Apparently, Mitch murdered Gracie, the owner of the store where Dale worked at. Dale then inherited the store and vowed the revenge of her death. In a confrontation with Mitch, Dale shot him dead.
Skylar then joined Dale in claiming his share of the harvest from the farmers and returned to home in the evening. They ended the night with a conversation and a passionate kiss.
