It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia returns tonight for its highly anticipated fourth season.  In line with this, FX has also picked up 39 more episodes of the sitcom in addition to the 13 currently in production. The show, which stars Glenn Howerton, Kaitlin Olson, Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Danny DeVito, has seen ratings growth in each season since its launch in 2005. The series is now expected to air on FX until at least 2011, with the cast and production team intact.

The new season begins with the episode called “Mac & Dennis: Manhunters,” which finds Dee (Kaitlin Olson) and Charlie (Charlie Day) as they develop an insatiable cannibalistic appetite after mistakenly eating some of Frank's human meat.  Meanwhile, Mac (Rob McElhenney) and Dennis (Glenn Howerton) take hunting for sport to the next level as they go after Rickety Cricket (David Hornsby), also known as their high school classmate Matthew Mara who ended up becoming a priest, whom they consider being one of the most dangerous animal in the world.

More comedy ensues in the episode “The Gang Solves the Gas Crisis,” which Mac, Dennis and Charlie taking advantage of rising gas prices as they invest in barrels of gasoline that they plan to sell door to door.  Dee and Frank (Danny DeVito), on the other hand, resort to some drastic measures to expose Bruce Mathis (Stephen Collins) as a terrorist leader when they discover that he intends to give their money to a Muslim community center.

Catch the first two episodes of the fourth season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia tonight at 10pm on FX.

Meanwhile, fans can also watch out for Testees, a new comedy series premiering October 9 following It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
