Kelly Hu's Biography:
Kelly Hu was born on February 13, 1968 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Previously, she joined the Miss Teen USA in 1985 and became the first Asian American to win the crown despite other people's pessimistic views on having an Asian as winner in the competition. Later, she became part of a series of ads for Philadelphia brand cream cheese. Her exposure ultimately landed her a guest role on the comedy series
Growing Pains. Shortly, she appeared on a number of television shows such as
21 Jump Street, Tour of Duty, Night Court and
Melrose Place to name a few.
Kelly Lee is played by Kelly Hu on the comedy series
In Case of Emergency. She attended Westwood South High School where she became valedictorian. In addition, she was previously part of the Honor Society, and was the president of the student council, chemistry club, physics club and captain of math league. Unfortunately, she now works as a massage therapist.
