It seems as though I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here is living up to its name. The game show pitting stars against each other in the jungle has driven out most of its contestants, and it's just been two weeks. After several celebs have withdrawn their participation on the series, there's another who was rushed out of the Costa Rica set.
Janice Dickinson had a medical emergency during filming of the reality program, and was taken out by an ambulance for treatment. The details were revealed by a production source who talked to Usmagazine.com.
"She is not in the hospital," the insider said. "It's fair to say she was taken by ambulance this weekend from camp to an on-site medical facility for treatment for an undisclosed condition."
The former model and judge of
America's Next Top Model has been complaining about the conditions they were subjected to while in Costa Rica. She claimed that she had been having bouts of hunger and bronchitis throughout the run of the NBC competition.
"Her fate is decided tonight," another source told the publication. "Either she quits, or she might be too sick to go on, or she's taken off -- or she may go back to camp."
Janice Dickinson isn't the first to be given medical treatment on
I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here. It wasn't long ago that
The Hills star Heidi Montag was brought to the hospital for her supposed gastric ulcer and other protests to being on the show.
With all these celebrities having trouble on the series, it's a wonder if NBC really takes their safety seriously. It's either that or these stars are really unfit to compete in such a game that takes them far from their comfort zones.
See what happens to Janice Dickinson when a new episode of
I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here airs tonight on NBC.
