Identity is a reality game show hosted by Penn Jillette where contestants must match up the 12 correct identities to 12 total strangers. Every correctly identified identity results in a bigger cash prize for the contestant, with a grand prize of $500,000 for matching up all 12 identities.
The show Identity begins by introducing the twelve strangers. Subsequently, the contestant is given a list of 12 identities to choose from, with complete facts about ages, hobbies, occupation, and many more. Based on the given information and visual observation, the contestant attempts to choose an identity and matches it to the stranger. To make the conclusion final, the contestant must “Seal the Identity” by pressing their palm down on the podium. The host finds out if the contestant made a match by confirming it to the stranger. For every correct match made, the contestant's potential winnings increase.
Identity is produced by Ben Silverman, H.T. Owens, Andrew Golder and Tim Puntillo, and airs on NBC.
