Ice-T's Rap School is a reality television show and a spin-off of the British reality show Gene Simmons' Rock School. The show follows the quest of eight teens from York Preparatory School in New York City to become a hip-hop group called the "York Prep Crew."
The show Ice-T's Rap School stars Ice-T as the group’s mentor. Each episode, Ice-T gives the group assignments, having them compete for a golden chain with a microphone. The cast includes Dodge City, Money Man Sam, Sophia So Fine, Big L, Missy M, Lady A, E-Rizzle, and Phil the Agony. In the end, the group gets to perform an opening act for Public Enemy.
Ice-T’s Rap School is produced by Wendy Roth, Michael Hirschorn, and Shelly Tatro, and airs on VH1.
