Last week, we reported that
Tiffany Pollard, better known as New York, will be taking her
I Love New York series to Hollywood. This time billed as
New York Goes to Hollywood, the new spin-off will document Pollard's efforts to launch her acting career.
It seems New York's thespian muscles have already gotten a workout as the 26-year old reality star led the cast of
Relationship Games, a play about three men and three women engaged in the game of love.
Pollard, aka New York, is fresh from her two-night stint with
Relationship Games, which ran at the Arie Crown Theatre on Lake Shore Drive over the weekend. Pollard took on the role of Jacqueline, a fierce beauty from Chicago's South Side.
“I think every woman can relate to being like Jacqueline at some point in their life, so it is fun for me to be her and rehearse as Jacqueline, because I can relate and I know every woman can relate,” the star of
I Love New York said about her character prior to the two-night staging of
Relationship Games. “Jacqueline is definitely strong enough to stand on her own, so I just want everyone to see her for who she is – her struggle, where she is trying to go in life.”
Pollard, who had expressed excitement and enthusiasm about taking on the part, also mentioned that the struggles and experiences of her onstage persona are a lot like her own personal experiences. The reality show regular isn't kidding. After all, how far off is the premise of six individuals playing relationship games from Pollard's own highs and lows searching for romance, first on
Flavor of Love and subsequently on
I Love New York?
Although she only had two nights to showcase her acting wares during
Relationship Games' limited engagement, Pollard is hopeful that her move from the Big Apple to Hollywood on
New York Goes to Hollywood will soon bring in more acting projects.
