Ezra Masters, who is more popularly known as
Buddha on the VH1 reality dating series
I Love New York, may not have captured
Tiffany Pollard's heart but he has certainly captured the attention of the producers of the Cinemax original series
Zane: Sex Chronicles.
Buddha joined the second season of
I Love New York in 2007 and but was disqualified in the fourth episode. He was brought back into the competition in the fifth episode and ended up as the runner-up to season 2 winner
Tailor Made.
According to the former
I Love New York contestant, he has been cast as the heroic leading love interest named Hunter to leading lady Patience, who is played by Patrice Fisher (
Charmed, The Stolen Moments of September) for the series
Sex Chronicles, which is helmed by Zane.
Zane, who is also known as Kristina Laferne Roberts, is an African-American author of erotic fiction. Best known for her in depth sexual and seductive novels that are specifically catered to the needs, desires and fantasies of women, she was rumored to have taken a special interest in Buddha after receiving nearly 3 million emails from his fans throughout the world.
Currently in production,
Zane: Sex Chronicles is produced by Suzanne De Passe, Zane, Suzanne Coston, and directed by Shawn Foster (
Blame It on the Youth) and Terri Hanauer (
Six Feet Under, Tuesdays with Morrie, Beauty and the Beast).
Joining Buddha in the series are Christina DeRosa (
Group Sex, Extreme Movie, Reno 911!), Maya Gilbert (
General Hospital, The Broken Hearts Club), Laila Odom (
On the Job Training), Johanna Quintero (
Michael Angel), Damian T. Raven (
The DL Chronicles, Sin City Diaries), Ayo Sorrells (
He's on My Mind), and Dana Hanna (
Something Like a Business, Me and My Baby in Miami).
Zane: Sex Chronicles promises to be “tastefully seductive with angles of sexual freedom that will make every woman stand up proudly and salute to her sexual supremacy.” Given the graphic nature of Zane's novels, the series is expected to feature "Buddha's rear end, front and center."
