With the recent conclusion of
I Love New York 2, everyone assumed that the story has reached a happy ending. Despite the rumors that
Tiffany "New York" Pollard and
Tailor Made's relationship are on the rocks due to an alleged sex tape made public by New York's former lover, New York said that she is very in love with Tailor Made, to whom she is currently engaged. New York and Tailor Made are to wed in Las Vegas soon.
Now that New York has finally found her true love, she's carrying on in her journey to make her dreams come true. Her next step? To pursue an acting career.
"I want to pursue my dreams of acting," New York replied when asked what she would like to do three years after her reality TV debut. "I see myself doing something on the lines of acting."
In fact, it was her acting aspirations that led her to move to Hollywood, California before being discovered to appear on
Flavor of Love.
"I had just moved to Hollywood, CA to pursue my dreams of being an actress but I didn't really go on any auditions. I went out there partied, having a great time, living the lifestyle and then I got discovered for the show," New York recalled. "So right before that moment, I was just doing what I wanted to do. Just a never-ending partying lifestyle I was into but I stayed on the show and it took off from there."
Indeed, things took off for the 26-year-old reality TV star, who since then has worked on four seasons worth of reality series. She debuted in VH1's
Flavor of Love, where she was among 20 women to compete for the love of rapper
Flavor Flav. She was eventually eliminated from the competition, but was asked to come back in the second season of the dating game. In season 2 of
Flavor of Love, New York made it to the top two, only to get her heart broken by Flavor Flav, who chose Chandra "Deelishis" Davis to be his Flavor of Love. Finally, New York decided to take things into her own hands and mend her broken heart by searching for her own true love. VH1's
I Love New York placed her in the spotlight while she went on a journey to find true love. Eventually, she chose Florida rapper Tango to be the man of her dreams. However, during the reunion show, Tango surprisingly cut the relationship short, leaving New York's heart in pieces again. VH1 gave New York yet another chance to mend her heart with a second season of
I Love New York, in which she successfully found her true love in the form of George "Tailor Made" Weisberger.
Now that New York and Tailor Made are living happily ever after, New York is ready to take on her dreams of becoming an actress. VH1 recently announced that a spin-off of
I Love New York is to air this summer. Entitled
New York Goes to Hollywood, the 10-episode long reality series will follow New York as she tries her luck in Tinsel Town and makes her way into the film industry.
