Hoping to find love the second time around, Tiffany Pollard, also known as New York, continues her search for her ideal match among 20 men from various walks of life in VH1's reality dating series, I Love New York.  But before she narrows down her options and picks the winner who has captured her heart, the 25-year-old reality TV star pours out her emotions to give spectators a taste of who she really is.

According to Pollard, she tries to be as genuine and sincere as possible on I Love New York.  Although her being “real” often comes across as something quite harsh and insensitive, she says she has a reason behind her tacky behavior.

“I'm basically hard on those guys in the house because I don't want to put on a front. I don't wanna act like I'm sweet as humble pie 24 hours a day, when I know damn well that isn't the case with me, you know?  So I'd rather them see it now and be scared than to only see it later if I pick them.  I have to keep it real.  That's why I'm so hard on them,” she said.

But no matter how hard she may appear on television, Pollard has a soft side that comes out especially during elimination.  For Pollard, sending someone home is something emotional and a very tough task to do.  She also explains that while she wants to come across onscreen as the person she really is in real life, certain situations just puts her on the spot and bursts her bubble, just like other stars on reality shows.

“You're basically stuck and you're cut off from any type of current events, that is enough to frustrate you and bring you to a boiling point pretty quickly…But for myself, I've always been a little too dramatic.  This is how I was born. I was just the girl that would just be doing too much emotionally,” she said.

As for her detractors, Pollard considers them as “fans in denial” just because they still make an effort to watch I Love New York.

“I think that my haters are the biggest hypocrites because they are undercover New York lovers. They watch the show just as much as my fans.  They watch it every time it comes on and they could tell you the littlest details that the average person would miss.  So, obviously the haters definitely have their eyes on New York. I love my haters because obviously they love me,” she said.
