'I Love New York' Alums Support Socially Relevant Projects
With all the hype surrounding VH1's recent unveiling of the next chapter in Tiffany Pollard's I Love New York saga, the focus has been on the Flavor of Love and Charm School alum's quest either for love or, now, a Hollywood shot.  With the coming third chapter in the I Love New York series dubbed New York Goes to Hollywood, the latest installment is set to chronicle Pollard aka New York's trip to Los Angeles in hopes of starting an acting career.

Happily, not everyone who's ever been involved in I Love New York has only their personal hopes and dreams in consideration.  A handful of guys from I Love New York 2 have taken to participating in more socially-oriented causes recently.

David Otunga or Punk on I Love New York 2 for instance, will be among the celebrities set to walk the red carpet for the premiere of a documentary drama entitled Back to the Bottle, which tackles the subject of alcohol addiction.  The said film debut will be the focal point of the Appalachian Film Festival scheduled to take place in Huntington next month.

Back to the Bottle will premiere Thursday, April 17 at the Keith-Albee Performing Arts Center at 9 in the evening.  Back to the Bottle is the brainchild of Francesca E. Karle, also behind 2005's On the River's Edge, another documentary this time about homelessness in Huntington.

Aside from lending his support to the Back to the Bottle project, Punk was also involved in another noteworthy endeavor, along with The Entertainer, Cheezy and 20 Pack, three of his fellow cast members from I Love New York 2.  The four reality stars recently made the rounds of colleges via a three-day campus tour from March 11-14.  Among the stops on their three-day calendar was an autograph-signing session at Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York.  The signing event was held to assist the Keep A Child Alive program, which is a charity that works to elicit response and support for families living with AIDS.
