Sundance Film Festival was first known as a way for independent filmmakers to showcase their work. Then it became famous as a chance for celebrities to see and be seen frolicking in a winter wonderland. Now, Sundance has another important visitor to count amongst its illustrious guests:
I Love New York 2's Cheezy.
Actually, it's not Cheezy's first time at the festival. He's one of those unusual
I Love New York guys who actually has had a career behind the entertainment world scenes, so this was a return visit for him.
Cheezy said that his previous trips were for business: “I worked in the film industry before
I Love New York 2. I was in film distribution, so I used to go out there, watch movies, decide what was good for DVD and hand out business cards.”
However, this trip was for pleasure. “This year, though,” he said, “I just wanted to go for myself, to network, for fun.”
He found himself surprised by the response he got from the celebs, including some who are fans of
I Love New York 2. “It's weird because actors like that are interested in what you have to say. Not a lot of them have done reality TV. They're more interested in you than you think.”
He found one such fan in Perez Hilton, and recounts what happened when the two met. ”Perez Hilton oddly tried to kiss me, which I was thought was awkward. I went up to him to say hi; he looked at me and went, ‘You are fabulous!' and then leaned in like he wanted to whisper something in my ear. I was like, ‘All right, Perez, what's up?' He kisses me on the cheek. Then he grabs me, kisses me on the other cheek, then boops me on the nose and goes, ‘You are fabulous!' I'm like, ‘Thanks, Perez! That's so sweet of you! You're the man to know here.' And he's like, ‘Hardly. Keep up what you're doing.' That's my fun advice from Perez Hilton.”
