Cameron Vanderwerf is 12 years old. He dances tap, plays the clarinet and enjoys gymnastics and fencing. Aside from these, he also has the talent for singing and doing voice-over work. Cameron was seen on the film Our Mockingbird and was part of plays To Kill a Mockingbird, The Secret Garden, A Christmas Carol, Peter Pan, A Rooster for Asclepius and Life and Death of King John. He has performed at the Wheelock Family Theater, Turtle Lane Playhouse, New Repertory Theater, Juventas! Opera Hub and at the Actor’s Shakespeare Project.
Shari Vanderwerf is Cameron’s mother.
Shari and Cameron Vanderwerf are one of the ten parent and child pairs competing on VH1’s reality TV talent search I Know My Kid’s a Star, wherein children from ages 8 to13 and their parents compete against each other to become the next child star and the stage parent least likely to corrupt their child's fame, respectively. There is also a cash prize of $50,000. All pairs live together in one house and are given weekly challenges, and one team is eliminated at every end of the week. The Partridge Family and former child actor Danny Bonaduce hosts the show.
