Cobie Smulders has given birth to her first child, Shaelyn Cado Killam, People has confirmed. The How I Met Your Mother star and her fiance Taran Killam, who were engaged in January, welcomed their baby on May 16.
Now, Smulders and co-star Alyson Hannigan, who welcomed daughter Satyana in March, can swap baby stories and confide in one another.
"It's nice because we can just talk about babies all day long, and not be like, 'Okay, this person has to be sick of this,' because you know that she's just as excited as I am," said Hannigan, who plays Lily.
Killam has appeared as Blauman, a former coworker of Neil Patrick Harris' character Barney, on
How I Met Your Mother, where Smulders plays Robin Scherbatsky, a reporter who has vowed not to have kids on the CBS sitcom.
