Aside from her upcoming tele-movie project called “The Murder of Princess Diana,” which is a production for the adaptation of Noel Botham’s novel,
House star
Jennifer Morrison has yet another film coming this year. This time, she has been cast in Rob Schneider’s directorial debut entitled
Big Stan.
Morrison, famed for her portrayal of Dr. Allison Cameron on House, has previously worked in movies like
Urban Legends: Final Cut, The Zeros, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and
Flourish. On television, she has appeared on
Dawson’s Creek, The Random Years, Any Day Now, and
Touched by an Angel.
Last year, the 28-year old actress has officially joined the cast of
Big Stan, a comedy film starring Schneider that centers on a small-framed real estate con artist named Stan Minton who gets frightened when he discovers that he is being sent to jail for fraud. Consequently, he hires a mysterious martial arts guru to transform him into an expert and help him protect himself against inmates who may attempt to harm or rape him. Eventually, he gains respect and even becomes the leader of the convicts, bringing peace and order to the penitentiary. However, everything becomes complicated when a corrupt warden attempts to cook up an intricate plan to transform the prison into a lucrative war zone.
Apart from Schneider and Morrison,
Big Stan also includes David Carradine, Erik Betts, Ahman Green, Kevan Paul Hewett, David Hodges, Tom Poole, Simon Rhee, Salvator Xuereb, M. Emmet Walsh, Kevin Gage, David Alan Graf, Tony Gonzalez, Brandon T. Jackson, Melanie Lynskey, and Henry Gibson just to name a few.
Big Stan, which already began production last year, is written by Josh Lieb and distributed by MGM, and will hit the theaters in December 2007.
