`Tis the season to be jolly, and no, not because Christmas has blown back into town. It is however, post-strike time, which means the big networks are announcing return-to-work schedules for their stable of programs. On Tuesday, it was FOX's turn to reveal its after-strike new lineup.
Perhaps the biggest news in Tuesday's announcement from the network is the returning schedule of two of its biggest primetime draws,
Bones and
House.
House is reportedly expected to churn out four new installments while
Bones is slated to produce six additional original material. Both series are due back on the air with their respective new episodes in April.

House, FOX also announced that it has green-lit fresh installments for the multi-camera comedies
Back to You and
`Til Death, the real-time drama
24, and the animated series
American Dad,
Family Guy and
The Simpsons. For sitcoms
Back to You and
`Til Death, FOX has reportedly ordered eight additional installments each. Some of those are expected to air early in August. For the trendsetter real-time
24, the show isn't expected back until January of next year.
When
House and
Bones return with their new installments come April, both dramas will slide from their current Friday night positions to Monday evening, still with their back-to-back time slots.
Bones is set to pick up where the series left off prior to the scribes' walkout with fresh material on April 14 at 8pm. The following week,
House makes its debut on its new Monday night schedule via an encore episode at 9pm. The next week on April 28, this first new post-strike
House episode premieres after another all-new
Bones episode. Both shows are expected to conclude their current seasons on May 19.
Conspicuously absent thus far from FOX's list of additional episode orders are
Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,
King of the Hill and
Prison Break, not to mention low-rating freshman cop series,
K-Ville.
