Omar Epps as Dr. Foreman Omar Epps, most known for his portrayal of Dr. Eric Foreman on FOX's House, was the recipient of the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at this year's ceremony, held on Valentine's Day in Los Angeles, California.  This is the actor's second win in the category for the hit medical drama.

Epps, 34, received his first NAACP Image Award nomination for House in 2005, and was again nominated the following year.  He finally went home with the award last year, and just two weeks ago beat out such actors as Blair Underwood (Dirty Sexy Money), James Pickens Jr. (Grey's Anatomy), Taye Diggs (Private Practice) and Mekhi Phifer (ER).

House itself was nominated in the drama series category, but lost to ABC's Grey's Anatomy, created by Shonda Rhimes.  Other contenders in the category include FOX's K-Ville, ABC Family's Lincoln Heights and CBS' The Unit.

Omar Epps has been a regular on House since the show premiered in 2004. Epps' Foreman served as a member of head diagnostician Gregory House's (Hugh Laurie) team, but towards the end of the third season handed in his resignation for fear of becoming too much like his brilliant but often insensitive and insubordinate boss.  During the second episode of the show's current season, it was revealed that Foreman was running the diagnostics department of New York Mercy.  However, he was fired after disobeying orders and was invited to re-join House's team at Princeton-Plainsboro, serving as Dr. Cuddy's (Lisa Edelstein) eyes and ears.

While Omar Epps' role in House is what has established him as one of today's leading television actors, he has worked extensively in the industry, and has received recognition for his work.  His previous acting credits include Street Justice, ER, Conviction and Love & Basketball, for which he received Black Reel Award, NAACP Image Award, MTV Movie Award and Teen's Choice Award nominations.

Meanwhile, House returns with all-new episodes on Monday, April 28.
