It seems that romance is in the cards for
Lisa Edelstein's Lisa Cuddy. For four seasons, the medical drama
House has toyed with the degree of sexual tension between Cuddy and cynic medical genius House (
Hugh Laurie) due to some sort of romantic history between the pair. At one point, it was even hinted that they had a one night stand in the past. Physical love has never been apparent been the two but that just might change as
House heads further into its fifth season.
Warning: Spoilers ahead!!!
According
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, the sixth episode of this season's
House will mark the kiss “House-Cuddy” fans have been waiting for. In fact, Edelstein has confirmed the scoop in an interview during
Entertainment Weekly's pre-Emmy party.
“There was about two weeks of exercises,” Edelstein said of how she prepared for the kissing scene while jokingly demonstrating some mouth exercises.
“It was a big moment. I don't know how much to talk about it. It's a very emotional episode. The scene is…I think it will be a really wonderful experience for people to watch because [it's] not necessarily what you'd expect. True to form to their characters, this path that we're on is not a straight line…everything's screwed up all the time and their dynamic does not change or get mushy whatsoever,” the
House actress added.
As of this moment, there is no word yet on how House and Cuddy's kiss will roll out so fans will just have to stay tuned to find out.
Meanwhile, fans can catch a new episode of
House tonight at 8pm on FOX. Tonight's episode entitled “Adverse Events” will feature Breckin Meyer, whose credits include
King of the Hill, Robot Chicken and
Married to the Kellys, and Michael Weston, who has appeared on
Scrubs, Six Feet Under and the film
Garden State, as guest stars.
