Every day, we here at BuddyTV will let you know all the new shows airing that night to help you plan your TV-viewing schedule. In addition, we’ll highlight two episodes we think are worth checking out to help diversify your love of TV.

Wednesdays are slim pickings for quality TV, unless you fall for FOX’s promos that say Til Death and Back to You are two of TV’s funniest comedies (a claim that makes me want to sue the network for false advertising). And while ABC is dedicating two hours to yet another debate between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, I have an alternate suggestion for your political news, which brings us to tonight’s word…

The Colbert Report
(Comedy Central, 11:30pm)

All this week, Stephen Colbert has been broadcasting from Philadelphia to cover the Democratic presidential primary in Pennsylvania. In a show of corporate synergy, the event is being called “The Stephen Colbert: Dorito’s Spicy Sweet Pennsylvania Presidential Primary Campaign Coverage from Chili-Delphia – The City of Brotherly Crunch.” I can’t think of a better way to show your patriotism than by watching Stephen Colbert’s Peabody Award-winning coverage.

The Real World: Hollywood – “Premiere”
(MTV, 10pm)

I gave up hope on The Real World a long time ago. Yes, I realize it’s a total cliché to start harping about how it used to be better back in the day, and recent seasons are just about throwing attractive, drunk people in a house together to fornicate in front of the cameras, but that doesn’t make it any less true. The 20th season looks to be no different – in fact, MTV has decided to celebrate the fact that the only people crazy enough to want to be on this show are fame whores by choosing seven wannabe stars and starlets and putting them in Hollywood.
