Now that the Olympics are over and we're back to regular programming, there's lots to take in this week. For starters: Jake takes his pick, Jim and Pam have a baby and Oscar night's comedy duo are just a few reasons to tune in. Also of note: American Idol's Top 10 contestants perform on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, for those of you following the young hopefuls every inch of the way.
Monday
The Bachelor (ABC, 8pm): Jake chooses his future bride in
tonight's two-hour finale. And if you're not ready for it all to end
just yet, stay tuned for the reunion special that follows, where we'll
learn the identities of both the next
Bachelorette and the
Dancing with the Stars contestants.
Tuesday
Parenthood (NBC, 10pm): An all-star cast featuring Peter Krause,
Lauren Graham and Craig T. Nelson headline this quirky large family
dramedy based on the popular movie.
Wednesday
Nip/Tuck (FX, 10pm): It's the final cut -- pun intended -- as the
McNamara/Troy dynasty comes to an end in the series finale of this
cutting-edge drama.
Thursday
The Office (NBC, 9pm): Tonight's hour-long special is dedicated
to the birth of Jim and Pam's baby.
Weekend
82nd Academy Awards (Sunday, ABC, 8:30pm): Alec Baldwin and
Steve Martin host Oscar night, which alone is enough reason to tune in.
With heavy favorites in all the acting categories, the only surprise
could be which of the 10 films nominated for Best Picture takes the
prize
Big Love (Sunday, HBO, 9pm): It feels like it just started
yesterday, but Big Love's fourth season ends after a politically charged
year of scandal and Mormon intrigue.
