In the wake of the assassination of JFK, the whole world was at a loss much like the people at Sterling Cooper. We saw how this one tragic event perfectly cast a shadow on the already dark third season and if last week's episode was any indication, we'll see more of that murkiness grow in Mad Men's season finale.
As usual, not much has been revealed about tonight's
Mad Men episode but maybe that's a good thing since it will leave us at the edge of their seats as we find out how season 3 wraps up and what kind of bombshell show-runner Matthew Weiner has in store for the next season. The title "Shut the Door. Have a Seat," however, alludes to the impending meeting between Don and Conrad Hilton.
The biggest question, though, is what will now happen to Don and Betty. On the verge of leaving Don for another man in "The Grown Ups," Betty has finally given into temptation and hooks up with Henry, only this time it doesn't look like she just made some random decision. She's been distant and cold to Don for some time now so hearing her tell Don she doesn't love him just validates what we already know. Will she really leave Don and marry Henry now that he said he wants to marry her? We find out Betty's decision as she receives some advice tonight.
Meanwhile, Pete talks to his clients in the wake of a presumed demotion. Will his clients really follow him if he leaves the agency?
