Amanda Bynes is done with acting and she's making it official by announcing it on Twitter early Saturday morning. The 24-year-old actress who is popularly known for her work on Nickelodeon's The Amanda Show, What I Like About You and Hairspray, tweeted, "I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it."

This comes a surprise to the public considering Bynes, a still-budding actress, has just wrapped up filming the romantic comedy Easy A, where she plays the character Marianne and stars opposite Emma Stone. If Bynes' sudden change of heart is really official, then this movie, which hits theaters this fall, would be her last.

"Being an actress isn't as fun as it may seem. I've never written the movies & tv shows I've been apart of, I've only acted like the characters the producers or directors wanted me to play," Bynes explains. "If I don't love something anymore I stop doing it."

Is Amanda Bynes serious about her tweets? It sure looks like it. She goes on her rant by saying, "I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first I've retired."

How do you feel about Amanda Bynes' decision? Is retiring at 24 a smart move for the young actress? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
