A decision has finally been reached regarding Nick Bollea's reckless driving case.  In case you haven't heard, the son of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan has been sentenced to 8 months in jail after pleading no contest in the crash that seriously injured his best friend John Graziano.

Known as Nick Hogan on the reality series Hogan Knows Best, Nick was also ordered by a Florida judge to serve five years of probation and surrender his driving privileges for three years.

Nick's jail sentence stemmed from his involvement in a serious car crash while allegedly speeding in his Toyota Supra in Clearwater, Florida on August 26, 2007.  He was charged with a felony for reckless driving and underage drinking. He was arrested on November 7, 2007 and was sent to jail.  Shortly after, his parents released him on a $10,000 bond.

Graziano's family eventually filed a civil suit against Hulk Hogan, also known as Terry Bollea, and wife Linda Bollea, claiming they are liable for their son's actions.  The suit was also the key reason why Nick opted not to admit guilt during Friday's hearing.  Although Graziano's family wished the judge found Bollea guilty, they were satisfied with the verdict.

Naturally, Brooke Hogan, Nick's sister who also stars on Hogan Knows Best and the spin-off series Brooke Hogan Knows Best, has jumped to the defense of her jailed brother.

"A lot of lies were told in that trial.  Believe me.  And it wasn't from us," Brooke said.

Although she doesn't elaborate on the “lies,” she says that the public's perception of her brother has been skewed by media reports.

"I know most of the public thinks my brother is some rich little selfish kid, but no one knows the real story and I'm really pissed that the truth didn't come out from either side,” she added.
