There's not really any good way to hear that your wife wants a divorce, but it's possible that former wrestler and current reality TV star Hulk Hogan found out in the worst way imaginable.  Hogan was contacted by a reporter for The St. Petersburg Times on Friday and, when asked what his thoughts were about his wife, Linda Marie Bollea, filing for divorce Tuesday, Hogan was at a loss.  The divorce filings were news to him.  Shocked, Hogan thanked the reporter for the info, hung up and then called the reporter back five minutes later.  The Hulkster, now 55 years old, has been starring in the popular reality series Hogan Knows Best with his family for the last couple years with his wife Linda.  Reacting to the news, Hogan said, “You caught me off guard. Holy smokes. Wow, you just knocked the bottom out of me.”

I suppose it's fairly common that one member of a married couple files for divorce without telling the other, but to hear about it from a reporter (one from The St. Petersburg Times, for that matter) must be jarring.  You've got to feel bad for Hulk.  Hogan (whose real name is Terry Gene Bollea) was an iconic wrestler for over two decades, most notably as the number one WWF fighter of his era.  Aside from Hogan Knows Best, the Hulkster is gearing up to host NBC's prime time reincarnation of American Gladiators, which premieres on the Peacock January 6.  Hogan and his wife were seen contemplating a split in a recent episode of their reality series, but the two stayed together.  It's not like this news is completely out of the blue. 

I think it's safe to say that being filmed for days on end is not good for a family.  The Osbournes have had run-ins with law, The Newlyweds broke up, and now the Hulkster is a single man.  Hulk and Linda have been married for 24 years, and have two children: Brooke (19) and Nick (17).  Hulk has recently been helping Nick with some legal troubles,stemming from a reckless driving arrest following an accident which critically injured Nick's passenger.  More details about the divorce should come over time, but for now the Hogans are keeping details private.
