In just a few short weeks, High School Musical 3 will open in theaters nationwide and will surely break box office records. Tickets are already on sale and the movie has already premiered in the UK. According to the BBC, High School Musical 3 has sold the most advance tickets ever, a record previously held by Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Here in the states, tickets went on sale five weeks in advance and are already sold out for opening weekend in many cities. The cast of HSM3 are busy traveling to promote the movie and this week, Zac Efron stopped by Entertainment Tonight to spill some secrets from the set.

High School Musical fans are in for a treat when the movie hits theaters October 24th. “We did have more resources this time,” Efron told ET. “We just had more opportunities to give the fans what they want and that’s lot of music, lots of comedy, and lots of good relationships.”

Like many of the High School Musical cast members, Zac Efron has spent the last few years pursuing other projects and making a name for himself outside of the Disney musical movie world. However, he says that he always loves coming back to a High School Musical set. “After doing Seventeen and Me and Orson Welles, coming back to the set of High School Musical 3 was fun,” he said. “I called it kind of a vacation, like a working vacation, because it was with all of my friends. It was very comfortable coming back.” Understandably, the cast is close because they have been together since the very beginning of the HSM movies and have become celebrities and household names together.

Efron’s character, Troy Bolton, will be experiencing feelings that are new to him in this upcoming film, the actor says. He’ll have to not only deal with moving on from high school but also the possibility of moving on from his longtime girlfriend, Gabriella Montez.  In a few more weeks, fans will find out what will become of Disney's ultimate couple.
