High School Musical already know that Nintendo has released a few games based on the popular movie series. In the Nintendo DS game,
High School Musical: Making The Cut, the six friends at East High travel around the country to win the America’s Best Amateur Musical award. In the Nintendo Wii game,
High School Musical: Sing It, which was nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award this year, players get to sing along with their favorite
High School Musical songs. The better a player performs, the more they can unlock. This Tuesday, a new game will hit stores based on
High School Musical 2.

High School Musical 2: Work This Out will be available on Tuesday, April 22nd for Nintendo DS. The game is set at Lava Springs Resort, just like
HSM2, and follows the East High gang as they work, dance, and play their way to the Star Dazzle talent show. The game mixes adventure as well as rhythm game play as characters explore the resort, complete tasks that they’re assigned, and rehearse their dance routines. The game allows you to play as Troy, Gabrielle, Ryan, Sharpay, Chad, and Taylor.
The game should be very appealing to fans of the movies for several reasons.
High School Musical 2: Work This Out features a Jukebox mode, where players can listen to 10 songs from
HSM2 even when the DS is closed. An Arcade mode features several minigames, for those who are just looking for a few minutes of fun. The Multiplayer mode allows friends to play together and see who’s got the skills to reign supreme. In Adventure mode, fans will get to walk a day in the shoes of a Lava Springs Resort employee and see if it’s as fun as it looks in the movie. The game is available wherever video games are sold and will cost $29.99.
