Multitalented actor Zac Efron proves he has what it takes to make it far in the entertainment industry. Ever since his inclusion on Disney’s High School Musical, he has become one of the most popular teen heartthrobs at present. His ability to charm people, whether in acting or singing, is positively beyond belief. Intelligent and highly energetic, he adds intensity and enthusiasm in whatever role he portrays, which makes him very pleasing to the public eye.

Born on October 18, 1987 in San Luis Obispo, California, Zac Efron started acting at the age of eleven, performing in plays like Gypsy, Peter Pan, Little Shop of Horrors, The Music Man and Mame. Eventually, he landed guest roles on television shows like Firefly, ER and The Guardian. He also became part of the WB series Summerland as a regular cast member of the show. His other acting credits included The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, The Replacements and Miracle Run, which earned him a Young Artist Award nomination for Best Performance in a TV Movie in 2003.

Playing Troy Bolton on High School Musical gives Efron the opportunity to become the one of the lead characters of the plot. He depicts the captain of the East High Wildcats basketball team and a well-admired student. His being torn between two interests, basketball and singing, is something teens can definitely relate to. Handsome and undeniably amiable, his chemistry with Gabriella Montez creates a thrilling sensation, which surpasses the duration of the show.
