After struggling with the controversial nude photos that nearly killed her career,
Vanessa Hudgens has recovered from that unfortunate episode in her life and is now taking Tinsel Town head up. Now at 19, her wildest dreams are coming true with the much-awaited Disney film franchise
High School Musical 3: Senior Year, her upcoming movie
Rock On and the release of her sophomore album, “Identified,” all these while going strong with boyfriend and
High School Musical co-star
Zac Efron.
“It really is [coming true]. I couldn't ask for anything more…my dreams are coming true. And it's crazy because I'm still only 19. I can't wait to see what the future will bring,” Hudgens said in an interview with ABC's
Good Morning America Radio.
Following the success of the first
High School Musical installment, Hudgens began a music career and released her debut album, “V,” in 2006. Her sophomore album, "Identified," was released July 1.
“The first one was my album that kinda introduced me and this [second] album is like kind of me defining myself. I'm identifying myself in a sense. It's kinda different. I wanted to play with this one. I wanted to funk it up a little bit and kind of play around and have fun,” she said about “Identified.”
“I'm gonna be doing a state fair tour. I'm really excited about it in August. I'm going on tour for a few dates with [co-star High School Musical]
Corbin Bleu,” she added.
Of course, that's not the only thing fans of Vanessa Hudgens can look forward to this year as she will also be part of the
High School Musical press tour in time for the film's premiere in October.
“I'm really excited because the first movie and the second movie were made for TV and this one is made for the big screen so people get to experience
High School Musical to its fullest. I feel like we really really worked hard on this one so I'm really excited to see what people think,” Hudgens said.
Moreover, Hudgens has a new movie coming out called
Rock On, a comedy drama expected to hit theaters next year.
“I'm really excited because I play a completely different character [compared] with the one I do in
High School Musical. She's like the weird emo darkish girl who has no friends,” she revealed.
