For Teen Vogue's October issue, they picked none other than High School Musical star Zac Efron to grace the cover.  The theme of the issue is young Hollywood, which is fitting since Efron's much anticipated High School Musical 3 will debut at the end of next month.  After that, he'll star in the movie Seveteen Again with Matthew Perry, which is a reverse of the 80s film, Big.  "To be on the cover of the young Hollywood issue is a big honor," Efron said in a behind the scenes video on Teen Vogue's website.  "I'm glad that someone is honoring the new and up-and-coming stars.  I think there's a lot of new talent coming up.  I'm proud to be representing!"  Read on for a sneak peek into the issue and Zac's interview!

Zac probably wouldn't trade his fame for anything in the world.  He's experienced huge success and has become a household name since he first starred as Troy Bolton in the very first High School Musical movie 2 years ago.  However, every now and then, the guy wouldn't mind a little privacy!  "You don't realize until it's gone, but it is so important to feel normal," he tells Teen Vogue. "I'm growing up under a magnifying glass, and I just try to rise above it and live my life."   He did leave it at that, though, and admitted that he doesn't have much to complain about.

Though Efron is quite the it guy for 2008, he can't help but love old Hollywood and class film stars.  "I love Fred Estaire, Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor... I could go on for days with old Hollywood," he laughs.  Right now, though, he's focused on the upcoming High School Musical 3, which will most likely be the last installment for the 20 year old star.  "The stakes are higher because there are real decisions to be made," he says of HSM3. "What college are you going to? What happens to the girl? It's fun watching Troy grow into a man!"

Besides Seveteen Again and High School Musical 3, Efron has one more movie in the works, Me and Orson Welles, which he hopes will help him break his teeny bopper image.  When this actor isn't busy filming on set, he likes to relax with his Ipod, naming N.E.R.D. and Modest Mouse as some of his favorite bands.  Zac's issue of Teen Vogue hits newsstands September 9th.
