Vanessa Hudgens is certainly in the middle of a busy few months, promoting the upcoming High School Musical 3. The last film in the series for the original cast will hit theaters nationwide on October 24th and tickets are already on sale. Three years ago, Hudgens are her co-stars were virtually unknown and today, are household names who are followed by the paparazzi just about everywhere they go. With the constant spotlight on them and the neverending attention, it can become a bit much for the young stars. Today, Hudgens opened up in an interview about the paparazzi, what she’d like to see happen to them, and which super celeb has given her guidance when it comes to Hollywood.

While promoting High School Musical 3, Vanessa Hudgens made a stop at Access Hollywood to chat with Shaun Robinson. When asked if she had found any guidance from other celebrities regarding fame, Hudgens answered, “I was actually talking to Tom Cruise. He was so sweet and such a nice guy… just telling me there isn’t much that you can do, it’s just part of your life now, so you have to accept it.” Though she may just have to accept it, she’s not going down without a fight. Hudgens suggested to Access Hollywood that she’d like to see the paparazzi banned. “It’s an annoying part of being a celebrity, so I’d ban it all together,” she said.

Hudgens first met Tom Cruise when she attended the Spice Girls reunion concert. With her VIP status, she ran right into Cruise’s pal and band member Victoria Beckham. “Victoria was like, ‘You know Tom and Kate, don’t you?’ And I’m like, ‘No!’” Vanessa dished. “And I got to talk to them, they are all really great people.” The High School Musical 3 star had nothing but praise for the scientologist, saying that she looked up to him and called him “an amazing guy”.
