'High School Musical' Star Grants A Wish
Disney stars have been known to be regular fixtures at charity events. They are involved in everything from the environment to animal rights to cancer research and prevention. Disney has taken pride in not only providing stars with lots of talent, but ones with big hearts. Stars like Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale, and Vanessa Hudgens are role models to young girls everywhere. This week, High School Musical star, Vanessa Hudgens, made headlines after meeting one of her biggest fans, five year old Vivian Gonzalez, a very special little girl.

Vivian is a beautiful five year old girl who is living with leukemia. Her mother, Maria, applied for her daughter’s wish to be granted after she was diagnosed one year ago. Vivian was flown Austin, Texas, where Hudgens is filming a new movie, Will. The movie also features Friends star Lisa Kudrow and legendary rocker David Bowie.  Vivian not only met the Disney star, but was asked to be an extra in the movie. "She was very cute," gushed Vivian. "She was nice. She signed in a book for me and let me act in her movie."

Vivian has bigger plans than a brief encounter with Hudgens.  She said that she hopes to meet the entire cast of High School Musical someday.  The five year old is a bright and energetic girl, despite all that she has been through.   "She didn't quite understand in the beginning," her mother said. "But now she knows she's sick and she needs to take medicine and visit doctors to get better. She's very brave, very active."

Last year, Miley Cyrus made BuddyTV news not once, but twice, for granting the wishes of two cancer patients. In June, thanks to the Children’s Dream Fund, 8 year old Samantha Lee was able to meet her favorite actress and singer. Lee is living with acute lymphoblastic leukemia . In September, Cyrus met 13-year-old Karli Hintz, a Wisconsin teen who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. After meeting her fan, the Hannah Montana star participated in an auction to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital along with fellow Disney star Raven Symone.
