In High School Musical, much of the story revolves around the relationship between Troy and Gabriella as well as Sharpay’s efforts to come between them. Off camera, the stars of the movie have romances of their own. Ashley Tisdale is reported to be dating Jared Murillo, who was a basketball player and dancer in the first movie installment.

Tisdale must prefer younger men since she is 22-years-old and Murillo is 19. It seems serious and Murillo’s father has been quoted as saying the two are “hopelessly in love” to the press. She was once linked to on screen brother, Lucas Grabeel.

Of course, the biggest romance to come out of the movie is that of co-stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Anne Hudgens. The two have been romantically linked since the first movie began filming two years ago. Reports have shown up all over the Internet this week that she had a sleepover at his place. Though there has been talk of the pair being in romantic trouble, if last night’s Teen Choice Awards was any indication, they seem to be doing just fine.

Hudgens stood proudly by her man as he accepted many awards on behalf of High School Musical. Efron also won Choice Hottie and could barely get through his speeches during the night. He did seem appreciative of the fans but after a while, started to seem annoyed that he couldn’t get a word in. Hudgens also picked up an award for Choice Female Breakout Music Artist. The two were by each other’s sides the entire night.

No word on who star Lucas Grabeel is dating. At the premiere of High School Musical 2, he opted to bring his mom. Corbin Bleu is also single but a few months ago, rumors linked him to co-star Monique Coleman.
