It's odd that I noticed, but it's been a while since we last heard "Breaking Free" and those other
High School Musical hits. That's because the franchise's stars are busy moving on. Fans of the movie series are still following them through their respective careers though, and now that they've landed new projects it's a good time to track them down again.

Zac EfronStill swimming in the attention he got from
Me and Orson Welles, the former Wildcat was spotted taking a break from the big screen. According to
E! Online, Efron took his girlfriend Vanessa Hudgens out on the town a couple of weeks ago to attend Brittany Snow's 24th birthday. Nothing much occurred though, as the more exciting news happened to:
Vanessa HudgensWe know that the actress has another project coming up aside from
Beastly. She recently talked to
MTV News about her role in Zack Snyder's
Sucker Punch, particularly thrilled at all the action scenes she' involved in.
"I'm very excited about it because I finally get to be an extreme badass and kick butt," Hudgens declared. "I get to shoot a .50-cal gun, which is a gun that's on the back of a tank that's in the Army. It's intense. It's just the most thrilling thing a person can ever do is shoot that gun."
Ashley TisdaleWe reported earlier that the star of
Aliens in the Attic will be
starring in the Tom Welling-produced Hellcats. She immediately took to her blog and revealed how ecstatic she was about it, as well as another surprise that came her way.
"Been crazy busy with meetings for new projects coming up!" Tisdale
wrote. She explained how she's now an aunt thanks to her sister giving birth, in addition to working on
Hellcats and her company Blondie Girl Productions.
Lucas GrabeelLike his sister on
High School Musical, this actor also has his own company up his sleeve.
Disney Dreaming reports that Grabeel started BlinkTank Films with his partner Michael Klebanoff.
The actor wrote on his Facebook page: "I've been super busy putting together my new company, BlinkTank Films. PLEASE become a fan of us -- our page is Blink Tank Films... thanks a million."
Corbin BleuWhile two stars are dabbling in movies, this one's back in the theatre. Having starred on Broadway's
In the Heights, Bleu received the distinction of having his portrait unveiled at Tony diNapoli's NYC restaurant.
Just Jared Jr. reports that even Kenny Ortega visited the famed eatery for the launch.
The ceremony for Corbin's portrait, painted by Dan May, was hosted by restaurateur Bruce Dimpflmaier with media personality Valerie Smaldone as emcee. Now, customers will get to see Bleu hanging on the wall and not just taking over the stage.
