On tonight’s episode of
High School Musical: Get In The Picture, the 12 finalists got to meet the entire faculty for the season. Nick announced the prize to the contestants: a talent representation deal, a single released through Disney, and their own music video, which will air at the end of
High School Musical 3. Rob Adler, the acting coach, starts off with the contestants, and has them say their first impression of each other. Things started off positive with the contestants calling each other intelligent, artsy, confident, modest, and attractive. People started to get a little blunt though, as the game went on, calling people dumb, nerdy, and awkward.
Once the contestants survived their first exercise, Nick and the faculty delivered welcome gifts, courtesy of K-Mart. They received everything from DVD camcorders to sunglasses. That wasn’t the only surprise – they were about to go visit the set of
High School Musical 3! At East High, they meet up with director Kenny Ortega, who asks them to sing for him. What they didn’t know is that he will be judging the finale and deciding who will win the show. He pulls a few people forward to listen to their voices and when he pulls Briana, she forgets the lyrics. Stan gives a memorable audition, even dancing with Kenny Ortega at one point.
After the jam session, the director delivers some amazing news: the finalists are all going to go film a scene that will appear in the movie. They hurry off to change into their East High gear and film a huge scene, which features over 350 extras. Things didn’t stop there for the contestants. As soon as it was over, they headed off to learn some dance moves with faculty member, Regina Williams. Things got more complicated when they were thrown basketballs and learned “Get Your Head In The Game”.
It may have been fun and games but the competition kicks back into high gear, when Nick informs them that only a few will move on to Los Angeles and compete for the grand prize.
