Disney's High School Musical 3: Senior Year did about as well as could be expected, dominating the box office, and nearly setting an October record.  The film fell a tiny bit short, but still -  a monstrous success for Disney.  Saw V, the latest entry in that torture porn franchise, once again overcame terrible reviews to get that pre-Halloween horror crowd and a second place finish.  Mark Wahlberg's Max Payne ran into a precipitous drop after coming in at number one last week.  Beverly Hills Chihuahua keeps on keepin' on, still the biggest surprise of the Fall.  Pride and Glory, the long delayed Ed Norton/Colin Farrell crime drama, sputtered upon release.

The Secret Life of Bees
, the weepfest that it is, is putting together an OK little run. W. is probably a little bit of a disappointment, especially considering its release amidst the election season.  Eagle Eye is getting closer and closer to that $100 million number.  It may just get there yet.  Body of Lies has been a flop, given its cast and pedigree.  Quarantine continues its epic decline after a big first week, rounding out the top ten.
