Christina Cole was best known as Cassandra “Cassie” Hughes on the horror series
Hex. As the one of the lead stars, she portrayed an attractive but withdrawn young woman with hidden telekinetic and clairvoyant abilities. A descendant of the Medenham Witches, she struggled to control her growing powers and strived to interpret startling visions and dreams. Despite her abilities, she failed to resist the villainous fallen angel, Azazeal (Michael Fassbender), which resulted in a sexual encounter and the birth of a child named Malachi who must be killed in order to prevent other ghosts from entering the world. She attempted to take his life, along with her ghost roommate Thelma and the heroine witch Ella (Laura Pyper), but unfortunately failed at the cost of her life. In the coming months, the 25-year-old actress will be featured in a string of movies slated for release in 2008.
Later this year, fans can catch the former
Hex actress in yet another horror story. She'll be joining lead star Mike Vogel in the movie
The Death of Ian Stone, which is about an all-American guy (Vogel) who is murdered each day by terrifying pursuers, only to wake up in a slightly different scenario to experience the horror of being murdered all over again.
In 2008, Christina Cole will be gracing a comedy-drama film called
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day. Set in 1938, the movie follows a governess who ends up sorting out the disreputable affairs of an up and coming actress. The former
Hex star plays Charlotte Warner, joining Frances McDormand as Miss Pettigrew and Amy Adams as Delysia Lafosse.
In addition to
Hex, Christina Cole appeared on shows like
Doctor Who,
Sea of Souls and in the miniseries
Jane Eyre as Blanche Ingram. She also had a minor role in the 2006 James Bond film,
Casino Royale.
