Zoe Tapper

Zoe Tapper hails from Bromley, Kent and is a product of both the Academy Drama School and the Central School of Speech and Drama. She graduated from the latter in the spring of 2003, just mere days before appearing in her first movie. She made her feature film debut in the award-winning period flick, Stage Beauty, alongside Claire Danes, Billy Crudup and Rupert Everett. Onstage, Tapper has been in several productions including Shakespearean classics like Richard II, As You Like It and Othello as well as the television adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. She plays the role of Gemma on BBC’s Hex and has also appeared on another BBC program, Cutting It.

Gemma, played by Zoe Tapper, is the resident clueless beauty on the cult show Hex. Gorgeous, easy-going, fun-loving and the apple of her father’s eye, Gemma is immature, spoiled, unperturbed by her less than stellar academic marks and more preoccupied with winning Troy’s affection and finding someone to take care of her. This near-desperate need makes her all too trusting and a poor judge of men while her obvious interest in Troy makes him even more wary and elusive of her.
