British actor Joseph Beattie, born in 1978, attended King Alfred’s School in Hampstead prior to his stint with the Guildhall Drama College at age 18. He has a recurring role as Robert Pullman on the series Holby City and has been a regular on the cast of Vincent along with Joe Absolom of Eastenders. He has also appeared on made-for-TV movies such as Seesaw, Colditz, Malice Aforethought and Tom Brown’s Schooldays. His filmwork includes The Browning Version with veteran actors Albert Finney, Matthew Modine and Greta Scacchi, Velvet Goldmine with sci-fi action genre stars Christian Bale and Ewan McGregor and the upcoming Scottish dark comedy Eating Dust.

Malachi played by Joseph Beattie on Hex, is the half-human son of Nephelim leader, Azazeal. He became a full grown man the day after he was born. As the son of the chief fallen angel, Malachi is naturally endowed with supernatural powers and is poised to become ruler of the forces of darkness on earth. His human side is conflicted however, as he is drawn to Ella Dee who is tasked with killing him.
