Towering at 6’4”, Colin Salmon was born in Luton, Bedfordshire, England in 1962. Salmon’s imposing stature and smooth, silky voice has made him and the characters he portrays memorable to audiences. Salmon got his start on television as Sgt. Robert Oswald in the hit British miniseries, Prime Suspect 2. He also had a recurring role as M’s chief of staff, Charles Robinson in three of Pierce Brosnan’s James Bond films. Salmon’s time with Brosnan on Die Another Day, The World Is Not Enough and Tomorrow Never Dies prompted the recent Bond star to nominate Salmon as the first black actor to play Agent 007. Colin and his sister, Trudie, were born to a nurse, Sylvia Ivy Brundenell Salmon, who passed away in September of 1986. Salmon and his wife, Fiona Hawthorne, have been married since 1998 and have four children. In 1993, People Magazine named Salmon in their List of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World.
