Anna Wilson-Jones is a British actress with several major television roles under her belt. Among her popular appearances are Jo Watkins on BBC’s Hex and Justine on Monarch of the Glen. She was also a recurring character on As If where her Hex co-star, Jemima Rooper, was also featured. Wilson-Jones pursued acting following her stay at the National Youth Theater. The daughter of a vet father and a veterinary nurse mother and with a physician brother and sister, Anna Wilson-Jones took up medicine at Cardiff for a year and two weeks but quit on the first day they started dissecting because she said she couldn’t handle it.
Jo Watkins, played by Anna Wilson-Jones, is Medenham Hall’s sensitive and caring young English teacher on the series Hex. Dedicated and devoted to her craft, Jo is constantly preoccupied with earning her students’ respect and affection. She is a perennial worrywart with a soft spot for Cassie’s welfare and well-being. Beneath her overly serious and fussy exterior however, lies a sensual and playful persona wanting to be unleashed. Away from her duties as English mentor, Jo secretly writes erotic stories and fantasizes about behaving brashly and with great mischief.
