Malcolm McDowell was recently known for playing Mr. Linderman on the series Heroes.  Although he was initially an unseen character, he emerged as a reputed mobster who has ties to several of the main characters.  Aside from being an avid chef, he was a collector of art and antique, which included the desired sword of Hiro Nakamura (Masi Oka) and the paintings of Isaac Mendez (Santiago Cabrera).  He also possessed the ability to heal living things.  Despite his corrupt reputation, he carried out a plan intended to safeguard the human race, which ironically involved killing several million people.  His impious endeavors eventually cost his life, brought by his encounter with D.L. (Leonard Roberts) and Niki (Ali Larter).  At present, the 64-year-old actor is working on numerous movie projects slated for this year until 2008.

On August 31, the former Heroes actor will be featured in a horror movie called Halloween, which is a re-imagining of the 1978 film of the same name.  He plays Dr. Loomis in a plot following Michael Myers' return to his hometown after breaking out of a mental institution in which he spent 15 years for murdering his older sister.  Now, his younger sister Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton) must put up a battle to survive as he embark on a quest to kill her.

Moreover, he has just completed filming director Gary Wheeler's thriller movie called The List in which he plays Desmond Larochette.  The film centers on fresh law grad student, Renny Jacobson (Chuck Carrington), who is on the quest to discover a company called the Covenant List of South Carolina, Ltd., his only inheritance from his diseased father.  While he unravels the mystery of his father's bequest, he encounters Jo Johnston, played by One Tree Hills' Hilarie Burton, who becomes his love interest and a hindrance for him to claim his rightful share.

In 2008, Malcolm McDowell will continue to grace the big screen with his action-science fiction movie Doomsday and the biopic Vivaldi.
