Heroes 1.08: "Seven Minutes to Midnight" Spoilers - 11/06
After another high quality episode of Heroes last night, we've got another batch of Heroes spoilers for upcoming episodes and beyond. Again, the episode last night, entitled “Nothing to Hide”, was both revealing and exciting. For me (and the people I watched it with) the episode just flew by. Also, I'm glad that we finally got a glimpse of little Micah and his powers. I know that it wasn't the biggest twist (we all knew that little Micah was special), but it was still one of my favorite reveals of the season. I suppose I could've used a little more Hiro, but his few scenes were cool. On to the spoilers.
First, we have a bit of fan speculation/spoiler that I felt worthy of inclusion in today's article. This came from the October 31 SpoilerFix TVj session led by spoiler expert Isabelle. Take a gander: servo said: I have a spoiler of sorts for you concerning Heroes. Comics Buyer's Guide #1624 (January 2007) issue has a story about Masi Oka (Hiro). It says "When he was younger, Oka practiced the art in a style of Japanese sword fighting called kendo...According to [Heroes Executive Producer] Tim Kring, viewers just may see Hiro mixing it up with a blade in hand sometime this season." (page 126)We've already seen the future Hiro with a sword - I can think of three possibilities: 1) We see a "flash forward" to Hiro in action in the future, 2) the future Hiro returns to the present and gets into some swordplay, or - my favorite option: 3) the future Hiro, returns to the present, stops time, and trains the present Hiro in kendo - a nice temporal loop! Here's another spoiler from that SpoilerFix session, this time courtesy of Isabelle herself: A new recurring character will be introduced in episode 12. He is an intense and wise mentor with an edge named Claude. He is said to be an imposing man with a gruff exterior. Supposedly, someone we will grow to love. And, now, here is what Isabelle can tell us about next week's episode. Episode 1.08 - Seven Minutes To Midnight [Airing November 13]: Two new recurring characters are introduced. The first one is a beautiful and formidable East Indian mother in her 50s. The second one is her 10-year-old-ish son Sanjog. [Note: Some sources say that the East Indian mother role was changed and will not end up being Sanjog's mother.] For more spoilers, check out Isabelle's last three SpoilerFix TVj sessions here, here, and here. -Oscar Dahl, BuddyTV Senior Writer
