Actor Sendhil Ramamurthy was born on May 17, 1974 in Chicago, Illinois. His parents are both Indian physicists, which is quite close to the profession of the character he plays on the NBC hit series, Heroes. Ramamurthy grew up in San Antonio with his sister and was a graduate of Keystone School. After high school, he went to become pre-med student at Tufts University, where he became a member of the Theta Delta Chi Kappa fraternity. It was also in the said university where Ramamurthy first felt an attraction towards the art of acting, and he pursued this attraction by performing in several school productions. When he acquired his degree in history, he enrolled at Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, and from there went on to work for other theater companies around Manhattan.
