Though the ratings of Heroes' fourth season suggest that it's a goner, NBC network president Angela Bromstad remains tight-lipped about the future of the troubled science fiction drama series, neither confirming nor denying whether Heroes will be back for season 5.
Earlier this month, Angela Bromstad gave a rundown of some of the network's bubble shows, including
Heroes. "We met with [
Heroes creator] Tim Kring and talked about a lot of things. It's a wait-and-see for us," Bromstad told
the Hollywood Reporter. When asked if season 5 will be the final one if and when the network decides to pick up the show, she replied, "We're going to cross that bridge when we come to it."
Still, devoted fans are desperately trying to
save Heroes, whether it's on Twitter, Facebook or some fan-made campaign sites--- which gives
Heroes cast members even more reasons to believe that the show will come back. Jack Coleman, who plays Noah Bennet, told
Digital Spy he's expecting the renewal, adding that the cast are likely to find out about the fate of the show this month. "I don't know if we're coming back or not - I expect that we are, I hope that we are, I anticipate that we are. We have opened a new volume and I think we will wade into that new volume," he said.
Cast member Greg Grunberg, on the other hand, has always been optimistic about
Heroes and he sheds light on this in
this BuddyTV interview.Meanwhile, there are also fans that have already lost faith on
Heroes, doubting that the show will ever return to its former glory.
Here's why.
