The third season of
Heroes has garnered its fair share of criticism, but NBC is doing everything they can to get the show back on track. Ratings have fallen, critics have sharpened their claws, and everyone is looking to
Heroes to reclaim its season 1 glory. Now that the series has let go of two longtime producers, it looks like the show will be undergoing some serious changes. Creator Tim Kring has promised that volume 4 of the series, which begins in February of 2009, will be a major departure for the drama.
While volume 4 is still a few months away, NBC has released the schedule for the remaining episodes of volume 3. Read on for descriptions of the installments, and decide for yourself if
Heroes can bounce back before 2008 wraps up.
11/17/08 - "It's Coming"
NBC's official episode description reads: "Arthur sends Knox and Flint after Peter (

11/24/08 - "The Eclipse: Part 1"
NBC's official episode description reads: "After reuniting Sylar (
Zachary Quinto) and Elle, Arthur orders them to find Claire and bring her to him. Matt, Hiro (
Masi Oka) and Ando team up together and follow Daphne to her hometown of Athens, Georgia to discover what she's been hiding. Meanwhile, Nathan (
Adrian Pasdar) and Peter Petrelli travel together to Haiti in search of the the only man that can stop their father from destroying the world, the Haitian."
12/01/08 - "The Eclipse: Part 2"
NBC's official episode description reads: "The eclipse continues to impact the Heroes' abilities as Elle and Sylar face off against a vengeful H.R.G. while Claire (

After volume 3 wraps up in December, volume 4, "Fugitives," will kick off in February of 2009. With Kring's assertion that the new volume will take things in a different direction, it's possible season 3 of
Heroes could still win over the hearts of both fans and critics.
